Tracey & Justin: Cinco de Mayo Wedding at The Tribute
On May 5 of this year, I photographed Tracey and Justin's aptly themed Cinco de Mayo wedding at The Tribute in The Colony. I've known Tracey since she moved to my Dallas suburb hometown from Canada in 6th grade. I only met Justin for the first time at their initial wedding consultation, but I approve. He hails from East Texas, and his people seem like good people. Everyone made me feel welcome and included, including Tracey's French-Canadian relatives, despite the language barrier. I'm not sure how many people made sure I had a chance to eat, but it was more than a few!
I loved everything about this wedding! Everything from the gorgeous flowers appliqued to Tracey's dress, to Tracey's glittery tattoo fancification, to the sugar skulls everywhere, to the bride and bridesmaids' vintage hairstyles, to the papel picado incorporated throughout, to the red velvet cake and gelato bar, to the bride's dad (and most everyone else) busting out his "Gangnam Style" moves... I can't think of anything about their day that wasn't fun and awesome. Much of the credit for said awesomeness goes to Bethany Thomas of En Pointe Weddings.
Someday I will start posting much more brief blog posts for the weddings I shoot. Today is not that day, so sit back and enjoy my many favorite photos that tell the story of Tracey & Justin's wedding day! You can also see even more photos and order prints from this wedding here.
