Downtown McKinney Family Portraits: The Boltons

I love watching this family grow! I've been working with them a few times a year since their eldest turned 1. This was my first time to meet the newest addition, and I'm smitten. He's not camera-shy at all at 6-months-old, and was certainly more on board with the session than his two-year-old big brother! It may seem odd, but toddlers are actually my favorite age group to photograph. Their personalities are huge, and I love capturing that stage. It requires lots of running around in a crouched position and playing peekaboo. This little guy wasn't exactly won over by my charm, but I love the photos of him Not Having Any of This.

Connor Family Portraits at Allen Heritage Village

It was great to see my former coworker Matt and his wife Meg again, and to finally meet their sweet eight-month-old baby girl! The Connor family's session took place a few months ago at one of my favorite Allen, Texas locations: the Allen Heritage Village. I love this location for its varied backdrops, including beautiful landscaping in Spring through Fall. Are you ready for a ridiculous amount of cuteness?

One Year Portraits & Cake Smash in Allen, Texas

I photographed the Malik family here in Allen for their daughter's first birthday. Rather than hosting a party that their little one wouldn't remember, the Maliks decided to invest in a portrait session so that the whole family can remember this age forever!

Addison Circle: Hammer Family Portraits

I met up with the Hammer family at Addison Circle on little Miss Sophia's first birthday. Her grandparents were in town for the occasion, so it was the perfect time for an extended family portrait session! I've been shooting more and more of these sessions that include the whole family, and I really enjoy the challenge. Heck, I've shot two extended family portrait sessions in the last week, with groups of 10 and 14, including numerous small children. The Hammer family's session was comparatively very easy with only one baby to cajole smiles out of! Isn't Sophia such a cutie?

Dayspring Nature Preserve in Allen: Treanor Family Portraits

In May, I photographed the Treanor family at Dayspring Nature Preserve here in Allen, Texas. This beautiful park is tucked away behind the Twin Creeks neighborhood, and is a bit of a hidden gem. It made the perfect backdrop for this young family's portrait session! Their baby boy was not in the best of moods, but we tricked a few smiles out of him anyway. I photographed the Treanors' wedding about a year and a half ago. It's exciting to capture this next stage of their lives too!
