Heard Museum Wedding Preview: Bryan & Tara
I just want to share a few photos from Bryan & Tara's wedding at the Heard Museum and in their home's backyard earlier this month! More to come. :)

Hey y'all! I just wanted to give you a head's up that I'll be out of pocket for the next few days, while traveling to photograph a wedding at a certain magical place in Florida. Getting married outside of the Dallas area? Drop me a line! My travel fees are very reasonable.

Shortly before Lorelai turned 2, I met up with her and her parents for yet another portrait session of this adorable little lady. This time, we used one of the Watters Crossing neighborhood parks in Allen. It's the park that's down the street from my childhood home, the park where my husband proposed, and the park where I regularly walk my great danes. It's somewhere special for me, but it's also convenient for me and for my clients like this family who also live nearby.
I love photographing Lorelai. Sometimes it's nearly impossible to coax anything like a smile out of her, except maybe an unimpressed little smirk, and then on days like this one, she runs me ragged just trying to keep up with her as she tears around the park with the biggest, craziest grin on her face. I embrace the challenge!
Side note: if you're looking for a really good leg work out, try running around a park for an hour and a half in a toddler height squat position. You'll be feeling the burn in no time! I speak from experience...
In late July, I drove out to east Texas for Jen & Michael's wedding at the First United Methodist Church of Lindale and at Hideaway Lake Club. I first met Jen when she was the maid-of-honor at her brother's wedding in 2012. I remember her having one of the best speeches I've heard and by far the best leap for a bouquet I've ever seen. I'll be honest; I don't remember every member of every bridal party, but Jen was energetic, funny, gorgeous, and memorable! Therefore, I was extremely excited when she contacted me about photographing her wedding. I met Michael for the first time at their engagement portraits last February. What do you know? They're both good looking and funny, making my job so easy.
Michael and Jen had a family-centered wedding ceremony, followed by one heck of a fun, Aggie reception. I wasn't booked for the whole evening, and was a little bummed to leave with the party going strong! I think four years spent in College Station must provide good boot scootin' practice - I haven't shot an Aggie wedding yet without a full dance floor all night long! Be sure to get a look at their wedding cake. I love the elegant solution of combining the groom's and bride's cakes; props to the Village Bakery in Tyler on that!
