Eight|11 Place Engagement Party in Frisco: Ashley & Cordt

It was my pleasure to photograph Cordt & Ashley's Engagement Party / Couple's Shower at eight|11 place back in April. Jamie and Amber hosted one heck of a gorgeous party for the lucky couple. The decor included too many sweet, handmade touches to count! Beautiful floral arrangements, wine themed decor personalized for the couple, and a clever "recipe for love" on the wine bar's chalkboard. One bridesmaid provided hand decorated cookies that looked too good to eat! Eight|11's food was fantastic, and the wine was flowin' all evening long. The party moved outdoors for some games, and then there was a quiet moment with each grandmother as Cordt & Ashley opened their gifts. Big announcement! I'm offering mini-sessions for your pups on August 23rd! We'll meet at a park here in Allen for 30 minutes at your chosen session time. Three weeks after your session, you'll receive 10 print-ready photo files with a personal use release so you can print and share online to your heart's content.

An Easy-Going, DIY Wedding at the Heard Museum: Bryan & Tara

Bryan and Tara were married in early March, and I was there to capture their wedding day! I loved photographing this laid-back couple and their (hilarious) friends and family. I photographed Bryan's sister's wedding last year, and it was great to see some familiar faces again. After a sweet "First Look", and wedding party portraits at the Heard Amphitheater, Bryan and Tara had their ceremony in the Native Plant Garden at the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney.

Directly after the ceremony, Tara and Bryan hosted a reception at their own home in Garland. Though they were set up for an outdoor reception, it was exceptionally cold, windy and raining off and on. Some of us brave souls who looked at the forecast and came armed with jackets still enjoyed the giant jenga, purple crayons for coloring, and adorable decor found outside. The rest of the crew crammed into the little first floor of Bryan and Tara's house with a fire roaring and the heat turned up high. By the way, breakfast for dinner is my new favorite wedding food. Feed your photographer pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, and she'll be one happy camper! Tara and Bryan, I enjoyed reliving your wedding today while I put this post together. Thanks again for including me in such an important day!
