McKinney Pregnancy Announcement Photos

In February, I got great news from some of my favorite repeat clients. The Boltons are expecting! I've been photographing their daughter Lorelai about every six months since her first birthday, and now I look forward to sessions with two Bolton kiddos! We started things off with a mini-session at Chestnut Square for their pregnancy announcement. Lorelai was not having a good day, as is evident in the second photo here, but we powered through and cajoled some cute photos out of her. I'm looking forward to a maternity session in a few months, and to meeting baby #2 once September rolls around!

McKinney, Texas Family Portrait Photographer: The "D" Family

My friend Allison is a very talented costume designer, and her skill set always shows through in the outfits she puts together for her family portraits. Hats and fascinators are often Allison's personal fashion statement, and I always look forward to seeing her latest headwear every time I photograph her. She had some awesome bridal fascinators when she posed for my first portrait session with my first DSLR back before I launched a business. She probably posed for me some when I was still shooting film in high school too, though I don't recall any fancy hats back then. She got the opportunity to work two different outfits (with 2 hats, of course) during 2012's holiday season, because in addition to the portrait session with her husband and daughter, we did a session with her parents and 4 younger siblings.

We only did one holiday portrait session this year, but this was a big one. Look for a surprise halfway down the page!







Congrats Allison & Devin! Scarlett will make a great big sister to baby girl #2! I felt super special to be the first person they told, so I could help them pull off this surprise for their family. I actually knew before Scarlett since she couldn't read her sign...
