Wedding at The City Club in Dallas, Texas - Sara & Cullen
In June, I photographed Sara and Cullen's wedding in the Truett Chapel at First Baptist Dallas and their reception at The City Club of Dallas. Despite having lived in the Dallas area all of my life, I had never been up in any of the skyscrapers downtown until I shot this wedding! If I didn't have a wedding to shoot, I probably would've been glued to the windows all night, watching traffic accidents, the sun set over the city, and generally ogling the sights from one of the top floors of the Bank of America Plaza (also known as "the big green one"). You'll note that I did pry myself away in order to photograph the hoppin' dance floor and other good times being had at this wedding. Sara and Cullen are a heck of a lot of fun, and they and their friends and families were all so sweet to me. I even got escorted back to my car by Cullen's brother and sister-in-law at the end of the evening, which was much appreciated. Being a petite, young thang toting a lot of expensive photography equipment, I don't feel terribly comfortable walking alone next to the Greyhound station at 1 AM... Just sayin'.
Happily avoided muggings aside, there were good people, good times, good food, and good views, all of which makes for a great wedding to photograph. Sara and Cullen came to me by way of the very first wedding that I ever shot. It's always a huge compliment when my past clients refer me on to their friends, and this was no exception. Thanks y'all!
